Celebrating the Inspiring Stories of Cancer Survivors

NEW YORK, Aug. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Survivor Collection™, a unique jewelry line celebrating cancer survivors, officially launched the first weekend in August at The National Women's Survivors Convention at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.  The National Women's Survivors Convention brings together women survivors of all ages, all stages and all cancers. Education, motivation and life application are the focus, along with celebrities and medical experts from all areas of survivorship, the Celebrate Survivors 5K Walk/Run and more.

Giuliana Rancic receives a signature pendant from the #SurvivorCollection

"The National Women's Survivors Convention was the perfect place to debut our new jewelry collection," said Sue Paist, creator of the Survivor Collection™. "All the women who purchased and perused the jewelry selection shared their own personal story that validated the purpose of this collection.  Some fans even took to social media to express their interest, helping The Survivor Collection Facebook page break 1,000 likes in just three days."

The Survivor Collection™ was inspired by the true story of two special friends, one battling cancer and the other supporting and championing her friend through her struggle, and the search for something special to symbolize the brilliant promise of the future ahead.  Trying to find a piece of jewelry to commemorate her friend's long journey and triumphant recovery only provided pink ribbon themed items to promote awareness but nothing that celebrated the survivor.  Instead, a partnership with Charles & Colvard® created The Survivor Collection™, a true celebration of these remarkable women.

The National Women's Survivors Convention celebrated its second annual SURVIVORville hosted by the Women Survivors Alliance, a group of cancer survivors who are looking to transform survivorship from a mood into a movement by empowering, educating and connecting women whose lives have been touched by cancer.

Honorary Co-Chairs, Giuliana and Bill Rancic, got to see The Survivor Collection™ up close and personal to learn about the collection's powerful story. After receiving a pendant from The Survivor Collection™ to acknowledge her personal journey through breast cancer, Giuliana Rancic said she couldn't wait to wear The Survivor Collection™ pendant.

"We've been eager to form a cause-related partnership for Forever Brilliant, and SURVIVORville was a natural way to support cancer for women in a meaningful way," said Randall McCullough, President and CEO of Charles & Colvard®.   "The Survivor Collection was also a proud sponsor of the LIVE production of My 2nd Act:  Survivors from the Stage which reinforced how powerful this movement is to provide survivors with inspiring, entertaining and irreverent journeys of their 2nd acts since completing their cancer treatments," he added.

The Survivor Collection™ features unique and beautiful three-stone jewelry designs celebrating a cancer survivor's journey, with five percent of sales going to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF), which advances the world's most promising research to eradicate breast cancer in our lifetime.

These exclusive designs include rings and pendants featuring two Forever Brilliant® gems created by Charles & Colvard®, a unique, near-colorless gem that is distinct from other gemstones and jewels based on its exceptional fire, brilliance, luster, durability and rarity, and one pink moissanite gem.  The collection is unique to the market and retails from $199 depending on settings and stone sizes.  The Survivor Collection™ is beautiful, brilliant and impressive, just like the survivors it celebrates.

The collection is currently available at LuluAvenue.com.
