Demand Management Inc., a leading global resource for supply chain
management solutions, announced today that it has been recognized in Supply
and Demand Chain Executive’s list of 100 Great Supply Chain Projects
for 2014.
The list recognizes Demand Solutions’ leadership as a solution and
service provider in enhancing the supply chain function and assisting
supply chain executives as they seek to move toward supply chain
excellence.
The award winners were announced online on May 19, 2014 at www.SDCExec.com,
and will also be listed in the June 2014 issue of Supply & Demand
Chain Executive.
This year’s awardees are supply chain solution and service providers
that are helping their customers and clients achieve supply chain
excellence. They have produced measurable gains in ROI through cost
cutting and increased efficiency—whether in warehouse, transportation,
procurement sourcing, or any other category in the end-to-end supply
chain.
Judges evaluated submissions based on the ambitiousness and scope of
each project; creative application of technologies, solutions, and
services used; extent of the business results and impact; and the
clarity of each submission.
Demand Solutions’ submission highlighted the story of ITW Proline—a
customer that lost an entire warehouse to fire in October 2010. With the
help of Demand Solutions software, ITW Proline quickly recovered its
business operations and commenced a process to re-establish its
distribution network. In fact, the business was able to move to an
alternative office location, where it re-commenced transactional
activity within 36 hours and distribution into customers within 48 hours.
“Success stories like the one from ITW Proline can be much more common
when companies put the right supply chain processes and technology in
place,” remarked Bill Harrison, president of Demand Management. “We are
honored to be included in the 100 Great Supply Chain Projects for 2014,
but even happier to know that we have given a customer the ability to
keep their supply chain moving even in the most challenging
circumstances. We look forward to helping more companies achieve this
level of supply chain excellence.”
