Fourth Annual Veterans on Wall Street(TM) Symposium and Resource Fair to be held on November 5, 2014

Veterans on Wall Street (VOWS), a consortium of major financial institutions including Citi, Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs, today announced that the fourth annual Veteran Employment Symposium and Resource Fair will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Goldman Sachs’ headquarters in New York City.

The annual conference aims to raise awareness of the value of veterans in the civilian workforce, offers workshops to transitioning service members and their families, and is an opportunity to share best practices regarding veteran recruitment and retention among institutions. The 2014 Symposium will once again bring together corporate representatives across all industries, transitioning service members and their families, military and government leaders, veterans support organizations and others who have a shared interest in veterans’ employment issues. - Opportunity for transitioning veterans to learn about career resources and how to best position themselves for success, as well as information about innovative hiring programs and organizations focused on the veteran community.

- Opportunity for senior business leaders and human resource professionals to share best practices and engage in candid discussion around the most critical issues related to the hiring and integration of veterans into the civilian workforce.

Conference speakers: General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will serve as the keynote speaker and a lineup of senior military and business leaders will share their own unique perspectives on veterans in the workplace.

Confirmed presenters include Blackstone, Booz Allen Hamilton, Citi, Deutsche Bank, EBay, Goldman Sachs, The Robin Hood Foundation, Starbucks, USAA and the Bob Woodruff Foundation.
