In honor and celebration of Baltimore City’s bicentennial celebration of the Battle of Baltimore during the War of 1812 and the writing of the national anthem, Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) has illuminated its downtown Baltimore headquarters building in red, white and blue. At the top of the company’s Gas and Electric Building, located at One Center Plaza, the words Celebrating 1812 appear. In addition, the window shades in the front of the building have been manipulated to display the year 1812. Both will remain in place through Sept. 16.
