BRAMPTON, ON, Sept. 17, 2014 /CNW/ - Bramalea City Centre (BCC) won the esteemed Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award at the BOMA Canada Awards (BOMA) in Winnipeg on September 11, 2014. This national competition, hosted by the Building Owners and Managers Association of Canada (BOMA), draws commercial real estate professionals from across Canada annually. BCC stood out amongst entrants from all over the country in the Super Regional Shopping Centre, sized 800,000+ square feet, category to win this award.

"BOMA's recognition of Bramalea City Centre with two TOBY Awards is humbling," shares Bao Lu, Operations Manager, Morguard Investments Ltd. "We have an incredible team of individuals who are dedicated to making our shopping centre a leader in the marketplace and these awards further support our commitment to our community, tenants and shoppers. "

The TOBY Awards is the most respected and comprehensive program of its kind in the commercial real estate industry. Quality is recognized in a range of categories, from commercial real estate building standards to excellence in building management, energy conservation and sustainability to community relations, tenant relations and emergency preparedness.

In May 2014, BCC won the prestigious TOBY Award at a local level through BOMA Toronto and has qualified to compete at an international level in Los Angeles in June 2015.
