In response to the fires affecting many California residents, Wells
Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC) is contributing $100,000 to support the
efforts of the American Red Cross Capital Region. The donated funds will
support victims of the King, Boles, Junction and Courtney fires.
Additionally, from September 25 through October 8, Wells Fargo customers
can donate to the Red Cross at Wells Fargo ATMs throughout Northern and
Central California. Customers will not be charged a fee for using this
service and 100 percent of the donations will be sent to the Red Cross.
“These wildfires threaten our customers, neighbors and our own team
members,” said David Galasso, Wells Fargo Northern and Central
California Lead Regional President. “We’re reaching out to support the
American Red Cross in their efforts to help victims of these fires.”
“Over the past two weeks this community has been hit hard by wildfires
and Wells Fargo once again shows what a true partner they are by
providing support for the American Red Cross relief efforts,” said
Kathleen Weis, CEO American Red Cross Capital Region. “We are extremely
grateful for their continued investment in the Northern and Central
California area and the Red Cross.”
Wells Fargo customers affected by the fires should contact their banker
and visit their nearest Wells Fargo banking store to discuss financial
options. Customers also can contact Wells Fargo 24 hours a day, seven
days a week at 1-800-TO-WELLS (1-800-869-3557).
