Beginning today through October 7, the Pitney Bowes Foundation and Pitney
Bowes (NYSE:PBI) are organizing 400 employees to take part in 30
community projects benefiting 23 Connecticut educational nonprofit
programs. Dedication to Education is conducted with
support from The Volunteer Center of the United Way of Western
Connecticut and with Team Project Grants from the Pitney Bowes
Foundation.
On Friday, October 3, 2014 at 9:30 am, Pitney Bowes President and CEO
Marc Lautenbach will be at the William Pitt Child Development Center in
Stamford to share books and a story with Pre-K students. This center is
part of the Childcare
Learning Center network which provides education and nutritional
programs serving 50% of Stamford’s Pre-K and Kindergarten students.
Pitney Bowes has continuously supported Childcare Learning Centers since
the 1930s.
“We’re going back to school this week as we lend a hand to improve our
schools and educational programs across Connecticut,” said Marc
Lautenbach, President and CEO, Pitney Bowes. “Pitney Bowes has a 94-year
history of giving back to the communities where we live, work and play
around the world. Our focus and involvement on educational excellence is
not only critical to our economic future here in Connecticut, but also
throughout the United States and abroad.”
There are 23 nonprofit organizations in Connecticut benefiting from 30
on-site projects. Volunteer projects include digitizing the card
catalogue at the Hall School library in Bridgeport, beautifying the
playground and adding a “Buddy Bench” at the Irving School in Derby, and
providing a career workshop for Danbury High School students.
“Through our Dedication to Education program, we applaud
our employees’ commitment to support education and organizations that
make a difference for students throughout our local communities,” said
Kathleen Ryan Mufson, Director of Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy
at Pitney Bowes and President of the Pitney Bowes Foundation. “Our
employees tell us they feel enriched, energized and grateful for the
opportunity to serve as volunteers.”

partner with Pitney Bowes on such a remarkable effort to give back to
our local communities,” said Bridget Fox, EVP of Strategy and
