List honors unsung heroes of the IT channel
Greenville, SC - Oct. 1, 2014 - SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX), a leading distributor of IT products and services, today announced that three of its executives have been named one of CRN's "100 People You Don't Know But Should" in the IT channel for 2014. Dave Dennis, Senior Vice President, HP, Product Management; Rob Moyer, Vice President, Microsoft Global Business Unit and Cloud Services; and Kirk Nesbit, Vice President, Design and Support Services are recognized for their outstanding accomplishments over the past year and for their ongoing commitment to the IT channel.
"SYNNEX remains at the forefront of the IT industry as a result of the contributions of incredibly talented leaders such as Dave Dennis, Kirk Nesbit and Rob Moyer," said Kevin Murai, President and CEO, SYNNEX Corporation. "Their exceptional dedication and innovative contributions continue to help SYNNEX remain successful and propel our business forward."
Mr. Dennis currently leads SYNNEX' HP business in the US. As one of HP's largest US distributors, SYNNEX offers the full range of HP's products to its resellers. Beginning in 2010, Dennis and his team were recognized with HP's Partner in Excellence Award for Top US Commercial Distribution for four consecutive years. This award recognizes exceptional business performance, significant overall growth and the implementation of innovative solutions for customers in the US across the HP portfolio.
In his current role, Mr. Moyer is responsible for leading SYNNEX' Microsoft Global Business Unit as well as the development, launch and ongoing execution of the company's cloud computing platform, CLOUDSolv. By successfully leading both of these initiatives, Moyer continues to grow SYNNEX' Microsoft business and make valuable enhancements to its CLOUDSolv technology platform, while bringing new possibilities to SYNNEX resellers across both business segments.
Mr. Nesbit leads technical services related to solution design, deployment and ongoing management across many of SYNNEX' technology stacks through its SERVICESolv group. These pre- and post-sale services are key components in solution selling and help resellers go to market more quickly and efficiently, while ensuring maximal profitability as they build out their skillsets. Vendors recognize Nesbit's pre-sale team as highly efficient in annually supporting more than 120,000 configuration validations and more than 3,000 assessments across various technologies.
Selected by the CRN editorial team based on ongoing feedback throughout the year from solution providers and other industry executives, CRN's list celebrates under-the-radar channel management team members from some of the industry's top vendors and distributors. These unsung heroes might not be household names but they work tirelessly to create, promote and manage the programs and policies that support the IT channel and help it thrive.
"The IT industry has a tendency to shine the spotlight on its top executives, but at CRN we know that there are a lot of other hardworking leaders who deserve to be recognized for their contributions as well," said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company, publisher of CRN. "This list is our way of recognizing some of the people that are in the trenches, working hard on behalf of the IT channel every day and making decisions that help tip the scales toward channel success."
