T.TRI

NEW YORK, October 2, 2014 - The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters announced today that Chris Carlstead has joined the organization as managing director of ONESOURCE Indirect and Property Tax solutions. In his new role, Mr. Carlstead will focus on expanding the business' existing offerings while overseeing global growth. He will report to Joe Harpaz, managing director of ONESOURCE corporate tax products.

Mr. Carlstead joins Thomson Reuters from Longview Solutions, a global provider of tax provision and corporate performance management software, where he was president of the tax division. In this role, he oversaw the firm's tax solutions, with a focus on serving companies that ranged from mid-market to global multinational corporations. Prior to being appointed president, Mr. Carlstead served as the company's associate vice president in the client services tax division.

"Chris brings a rare blend of entrepreneurialism and corporate management experience that perfectly supports our growing business," said Harpaz. "His unique skill set and key industry relationships are the perfect recipe to meet the evolving needs of our clients."

"Our aim is to deliver the best global tax technology suite that covers the spectrum of multinational and Big 4 tax and accounting needs, with a growing emphasis on global indirect tax determination and compliance. Attracting the industry's best talent is a key component of our winning strategy," Harpaz said.

Prior to Longview Solutions, Mr. Carlstead was a director with Liquid Engines, a corporate tax software company that was acquired by Thomson Reuters in 2008. Following the acquisition, Mr. Carlstead served as a senior manager on the transition team at Thomson Reuters. Earlier in his career, he held management positions with Deloitte and Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Carlstead has a Bachelors of Science from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master of Business Administration from DePaul University, and a Juris Doctorate from DePaul University's College of Law. He is a licensed attorney in California and Illinois. He will be based in Chicago.
