Erin Ventures Announces A Change To Its Board

Victoria, British Columbia (FSCwire) - Erin Ventures Inc. (TSX-V: EV) is pleased to welcome James Wallis, M.Sc. (Eng), P. Eng. back to its Board of Directors. Jim previously served as a Director of Erin from 1997 until 2008. He has also recently acted as a member of Erin's Technical Advisory Board, in addition to having held the position as Project Manager on Erin's Piskanja Project until February of 2014.

Mr. Wallis has 40 years of experience in all phases of mineral exploration and mine development, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. He has held senior mine management positions throughout the world, as well as having acted as a consultant with companies such as Noranda, Kerr Addison, U.S. Borax, Amax and others. While employed as the Mine Engineer at the Allan Potash Mine, Mr. Wallis was instrumental in the development of the mine - from shaft sinking to the design and selection of underground mining equipment for a large-scale trackless mining operation. Additionally, he spent time at U.S. Borax operations in California evaluating the economics of their mining operations, while gaining knowledge and experience in boron production. Since 1996, Mr. Wallis has been an integral member of Erin's team regarding the exploration of Erin's Piskanja boron deposit.

Along with serving on the Board of Directors, Mr. Wallis will also serve on Erin’s audit committee. This appointment is subject to TSX approval.

Mr. Wallis replaces Mr. Paolo Bonini on Erin's Board, who was compelled to resign recently for personal reasons. Mr. Bonini remains the CEO of Società Chimica Larderello (SCL), a leader in the boron industry since 1818. Mr. Bonini reiterates that SCL is very encouraged by the recent positive results in Erin's Preliminary Economic Assessment, and SCL remains committed to forming a strategic alliance with Erin for the advancement of the Piskanja boron project to the mutual benefit of both companies, despite Paolo's resignation from Erin's board.

On behalf of the Board of Directors,

Blake Fallis, General Manager
