Titles Include Robert Rodriguez's From Dusk Till Dawn, The Grifters, Dirty Pretty Things and Marvin's Room
VANCOUVER, British Columbia and SANTA MONICA, Calif., Oct. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- LIONSGATE® (NYSE: LGF), a premier next generation global content leader, has expanded its domestic home entertainment distribution deal with Miramax to include more than 250 additional titles, it was announced today by Ron Schwartz, Lionsgate President and General Manager, Sales and Distribution Home Entertainment.
The newly-expanded agreement builds on an existing distribution deal between Lionsgate and Miramax, first announced in early 2011, and brings the total number of Miramax titles available exclusively through Lionsgate via DVD, Blu-Ray, EST and Internet Video on Demand (VOD) to more than 700. New additions to the library include Robert Rodriguez's renowned From Dusk Till Dawn, iconic horror properties such as Dracula, The Faculty and franchise titles from The Prophecy, Halloween and Children of the Corn, prestige titles including Marvin's Room with Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep, The Shipping News starring Kevin Spacey and Julianne Moore, The Grifters, Her Majesty Mrs. Brown, The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, Dirty Pretty Things and Fresh as well as family titles including the Pokemon franchise, among others.

The expanded agreement reflects Lionsgate's successful track record in distributing third party product from some of the most prominent libraries in the world, including Miramax, Studiocanal and A&E, as well as its own Lionsgate titles. Comprised of over 16,000 motion picture titles and television episodes, Lionsgate's prestigious and prolific library includes The Hunger Games and Twilight franchises, Divergent, Dirty Dancing, Now You See Me, Monster's Ball, Crash, Rambo, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Reservoir Dogs, Mad Men, Weeds and Orange is the New Black.
The first wave of Blu-ray and DVD titles to be released under the new deal will be timed for Halloween availability and includes From Dusk Till Dawn, The Faculty and Venom, along with key titles from classic franchises including Halloween, Prophecy, Children of the Corn, Wes Craven Presents Dracula, Hellraiser and The Crow collections.
