Thank You for Your Service: IHOP® Restaurants Offer Free Red, White and Blue Pancakes to Veterans and Active-Duty Military Personnel on Veteran's Day, Nov. 11

DIN

For generations, brave American men and women have given their time, and in many sad instances even their lives, to protect the qualities that make America the nation it is. This year, IHOP® restaurants are doing something special to express gratitude for these courageous men and women.

On Veteran’s Day, November 11, participating IHOP Restaurants around the nation will be honoring the brave men and women who have served, or are serving, in the United States Military by offering them free Red, White and Blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Red, White and Blue pancakes, a patriotic twist on a classic IHOP restaurant favorite, features world famous Buttermilk Pancakes with blueberry and strawberry toppings and whipped cream.

“Words cannot fully express the gratitude we feel for the commitment and sacrifice of our Veterans and Active-Duty military members,” said Julia Stewart, Chairman and CEO, DineEquity Inc., and Interim President, International House of Pancakes, LLC. “It will be a privilege to welcome and serve these brave Americans who have served, and continue to serve our country.”

At some locations, the Red, White and Blue pancakes will be featured as part of a free combo plate including eggs, bacon and hashed browns for past and present members of the military.

“Our franchisees and their team members are all looking forward to this opportunity to say thank you,” said Ms. Stewart. We are truly honored that these heroes would choose to spend part of their Veteran’s Day celebration with us here at IHOP.”

All veterans and active-duty military members must show proof of their service in order to receive an order of Red White and Blue pancakes. Valid identification includes wearing one’s uniform or any of the following: U.S. Uniform Services ID Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID Card, Current Leave and Earning Statement, Veteran’s Organization Card, Photograph in Uniform, Citation or Commendation, or Military Dog Tags.

Promotion varies by location. See your local participating restaurant for details.
