Sanbolic Joins Extreme Networks' Global Technology Solution Partner Program to Promote Innovations Addressing Today's Network Challenges

EXTR

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Nov 17, 2014) - Sanbolic, next-gen provider of application-centric infrastructure convergence solutions, today announced membership in Extreme Networks, Inc.'s (NASDAQ: EXTR) Technology Solutions Partner (TSP) Program, a consortium of technology leaders committed to accelerating innovation through the use of open standards-based, flexible, high performance network architectures.

Working with Extreme Networks' innovative capabilities for software-defined data centers, Sanbolic's hyper-converged and converged infrastructure solutions, managed as a single system, will be enhanced and deployed by leveraging Extreme Networks' SDN platform to more effectively support geo-distributed customer data center requirements while reducing cost and complexity.

Sanbolic has integrated its software-defined management and scale-out convergence capabilities with Extreme Networks' SDN platform into a validated and market-ready hyper-converged infrastructure solution that addresses high availability, load balancing and end-user experience for virtual applications. As a result of this integration, Sanbolic can now include VDI across multiple locations and cloud networks. This joint solution brings simplified, centralized management and scale out of IT resources at lower costs.

"By linking customer priorities, market needs and channel engagement through each stage of the development process, the TSP Program expands the capabilities of both Extreme Networks and Sanbolic so that they now can bring new innovations to market on an ongoing basis and/or respond jointly to market demands/needs," said Markus Nispel, vice president of technology innovation for Extreme Networks.

"We are very excited to be working together with the Extreme Networks team to bring new, unified and incredibly resilient and scalable infrastructure solutions to market," shares Momchil (Memo) Michailov, CEO of Sanbolic. "Our integrated modern data center solutions enable our channel partners to solve the complex and critical issues faced by IT Departments today: seamless availability and scalability for the critical business workloads across physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures."

Designed upon Extreme Networks' SDN platform -- which integrates the award-winning OneFabric Control Center with its OneFabric Connect APIs -- the TSP program focuses on validation, integration, innovation and interoperability with technology leaders in the areas of mobility, security, SDN, IT operations, data center, cloud, analytics, and convergence. Through the TSP, solution providers can offer their customers differentiated and validated software and services that increase the value of the network to their customers' business.

Key Facts:
