agricultural equipment, presented five supplier awards during its third
annual AGCO North America Supplier Day held near its global headquarters
in Duluth, Georgia recently. The event served as an opportunity to honor
five suppliers for their superior performance and contribution to AGCO’s
success in the areas of direct materials, indirect materials and
logistics.
AGCO’s leadership shared with attendees updates concerning the current
industry conditions, supply chain advancements and their appreciation
for the supply base, especially the top performers. Robert Crain, Senior
Vice President and General Manager, North America, commented on the
overall agricultural industry and highlighted that the underlying
fundamentals for the industry remained strong. Josip Tomasevic, Global
Vice President and Chief Purchasing Officer, provided updates on several
key activities and expectations for AGCO’s global supply base and
unveiled ASPIRE - a new global supplier performance management system.
Michael Clem, Vice President North America Purchasing & Logistics, along
with John Navarra, Director North America Purchasing, highlighted the
importance of AGCO’s Supplier Awards ceremony as a celebration of
outstanding performance by its partners in the areas of quality,
collaboration, logistics and innovation. At the same time these
suppliers were recognized for their commitment to AGCO’s Core Values:
accountability, integrity, respect, team spirit and transparency.
AGCO 2014 North America Supplier of the Year winners are:
2014 Quality Award - Romeo RIM Inc., of Romeo, MI
represented by Vernon Loepp, Director of Sales and Marketing, and Mark
Simpson, Business Development Manager for Agriculture and
Construction. Romeo RIM provides composite panels and assemblies using
RIM and LFI technology to AGCO’s manufacturing facilities in Hesston,
Kansas and Jackson, Minnesota. Romeo RIM has driven down their PPM rate
from 300 in 2013 to zero thus far in 2014.
2014 Collaboration Award - Comer Industries, of Reggio
Emilia, Italy, represented by 2014 by Arlin Perry, President NA. Comer
supplies AGCO custom gearboxes, drives and power transmission
products. Founded in 1970, Comer has a rich history of providing
solutions to the agricultural, construction, forestry, and renewable
energy industries.
2014 Indirect Award - AIMCO, of Portland, OR was
represented by Doug Hall, President and CEO. Since 1970, AIMCO has been
providing global assembly and fastening solutions for the ag/off road,
mvi, electronics, aerospace, energy services and general assembly
industries.
2014 Logistics Award - Roehl Transport Inc. of Marshfield,
WI, represented by Steve Elliott, Vice President, Roehl Logistics. Roehl
provides trucking and logistics support services to AGCO with consistent
on time performance.
2014 North America Supplier of the Year – Diamond
Manufacturing Company of Wyoming, PA represented by David Simpson,
President & CEO, Brent Montross, VP of Sales, and Marty Bonetski, GM
