NEW YORK, Dec. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- McCann Worldgroup and its client MasterCard won the prestigious 2014 Grand Midas Award, the top award in this show, along with multiple Golds and Silvers. The Midas Award recognizes creative excellence in financial services marketing from around the world.
In addition to winning the Grand Midas, McCann and MasterCard won four Golds and three Silvers from Worldgroup agencies in the U.S., Canada, and Dubai. Through McCann XBC, McCann Worldgroup's agency dedicated globally to MasterCard and working alongside other Interpublic agencies such as R/GA and Octagon, MasterCard won a total of six Gold and six Silver Midas Awards along with the Grand Midas, including R/GA's two Golds and three Silvers.
McCann Worldgroup agencies also won multiple Midas awards for other financial services clients, including Emirates NBD Bank in Dubai (three Gold and two Silver), Synovus Bank in the U.S. (two Gold and one Silver), and Banco Atlantida in Honduras (one Gold). In total, McCann Worldgroup agencies in four countries won 10 Golds and six Silvers.

The Grand Midas award was won for MasterCard's "Priceless Table" campaign, a standout in the Promotions category and a Gold winner also in the Guerrilla/Alternative Media category. Along with the MasterCard U.S. TV spot "Kids," which won two Gold Midas awards, this work was created in New York at McCann XBC.
MacLaren McCann Canada added two more Midas awards to the MasterCard total, including in the Social Media and Online categories. FP7 Dubai, one of the agencies in McCann's network in the Middle East and North Africa, added a Silver Midas to the MasterCard total.
FP7 Dubai also won multiple Midas awards for the United Arab Emirates-based bank Emirates NBD, including three Golds and two Silvers. Among other McCann Worldgroup agencies, McCann Honduras won a Gold Midas for its client Banco Atlantida, and Fitzgerald+ CO, Atlanta, won two Gold and one Silver for Synovus Bank. Fitzgerald's Midas Certificate wins included two of its financial services clients, Navy Federal Credit Union as well as Synovus.
