TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - January 06, 2015) - ViXS Systems Inc. (TSX: VXS), a pioneer and leader in media processing solutions, today announced it is powering Skydigita's new 4K Ultra HD HEVC Over-the-Top (OTT) media IP Client. The XCode 6400 powered Skydigita SDB-300 series of OTT media IP clients is the industry's first 4K Ultra HD HEVC 10-bit YUV 4:2:2 product on the market today. Skydigita is a Chinese based original equipment manufacturer (OEM) with distribution throughout Asia. ViXS will be showcasing the new Skydigita 4K Ultra HD product at CES 2015, January 6 to 9, in the ViXS booth MP26055 in South Hall 2 in the LVCC, Las Vegas.

The 4K Ultra HD market has its sights set on delivering the best video experience possible to the consumer, which includes providing content at full 60 frames per second (fps) using the latest 10-bit BT2020 color format with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 support. The market leading features that are available with the Skydigita 4K Ultra HD media player are critical in meeting this goal and is a must have product for any video service operator, over the top (OTT) streaming service provider and retail consumer electronics branded companies, planning to deploy 4K Ultra HD services.
