Morgan Stanley Closed-End Funds Announce Appointment of New Directors

Morgan Stanley Asia-Pacific Fund, Inc. (NYSE:APF), Morgan Stanley China A Share Fund, Inc. (NYSE:CAF), Morgan Stanley Eastern Europe Fund, Inc. (NYSE:RNE), Morgan Stanley Emerging Markets Debt Fund, Inc. (NYSE:MSD), Morgan Stanley Emerging Markets Domestic Debt Fund, Inc. (NYSE:EDD), Morgan Stanley Emerging Markets Fund, Inc. (NYSE:MSF), Morgan Stanley Income Securities Inc. (NYSE:ICB), The Latin American Discovery Fund, Inc. (NYSE:LDF), The Thai Fund, Inc. (NYSE:TTF) and The Turkish Investment Fund, Inc. (NYSE:TKF) (individually, a “Fund” and, collectively, the “Funds”) announced today that each Fund’s Board of Directors appointed Nancy C. Everett to serve as a Class II director (Class I for Morgan Stanley Income Securities Inc.) and Jakki L. Haussler to serve as a Class III director, each effective as of January 1, 2015.

Ms. Everett is currently the Owner of OBIR, LLC (since June 2014). She was formerly a Managing Director at BlackRock, Inc. (February 2011-December 2013) and Chief Executive Officer of General Motors Asset Management (a/k/a Promark Global Advisors, Inc.) (June 2005-May 2010). Ms. Haussler is currently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Opus Capital Group (since January 1996). She was formerly a Director at Capvest Venture Fund, LP (May 2000-December 2011), Partner at Adena Ventures, LP (July 1999-December 2010) and a Director of The Victory Funds (February 2005-July 2008).
