LONDON, Jan. 12, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE:FCN), the global business advisory firm dedicated to helping organisations protect and enhance their enterprise value, today announced the appointment of Jonathan Guppy as a Senior Managing Director in the Company's UK Health Solutions practice. He will be based in London.
Mr. Guppy has 25 years of experience helping organisations develop and implement change programmes, with particular expertise in the health sector. Most recently, Mr. Guppy worked independently as an adviser to Monitor, the UK health sector regulator. In this role, Mr. Guppy provided support to distressed health organisations, while also working with Monitor's senior leadership team to improve capability and capacity in the face of health system failures. Prior to that, Mr. Guppy served as a Partner at KPMG, where he grew and led a 150-person team specialising in delivering operations and efficiency improvements in the public sector. He also sat as a member of KPMG's National Health Leadership Team, through which Mr. Guppy led turnaround engagements in several distressed acute hospitals.
Mr. Guppy spent six years at Ernst & Young where he began his career, first serving as a Management Consultant specialising in large scale change programmes for multinational clients. Following Capgemini's acquisition of Ernst & Young's consulting business, Mr. Guppy served as a Senior Vice President with Capgemini, providing senior counsel to clients on the company's 'Gold Tier' list. At FTI Consulting, Mr. Guppy will be working alongside FTI Consulting's current Health Solutions UK leadership team, Jeff Benton and Lisa Goldstone, to help strengthen FTI Consulting's presence in the UK health sector.
