VAL-D'OR, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 3, 2015) - Cartier Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ECR) ("Cartier") announces that it has launched a four-hole drill program on the MacCormack Property, situated 25 km north-north west of the Bousquet - LaRonde mining camp infrastructures, near Malartic in the Abitibi.
The fall 2014 drill program intersected three massive sulphides intersections, at a depth of 180 m over a lateral distance of 180 m, with one intersection grading up to 11.5% Zn, 0.2% Cu, 44.2 g/t Ag and 2.0 g/t Au over 0.6 m. This new program targets the extension of the massive sulphides zone, at a depth of 270 m, as defined by the three intersections. The four holes will explore the potential of the area over a lateral distance of 270 m.
"Our strategy is to follow the geometric extensions of this Zn-Cu-Au-Ag-rich massive sulphides zone in order to identify vectors that could grow the size of the mineralization" commented Philippe Cloutier, President and CEO.
