Guidance
Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: GUID), the World Leader in Digital
Investigations™, today announced one of the largest multi-national banks
in the world has invested over $7.5 million in a complete suite of
EnCase products and services for digital enterprise investigations to
date. EnCase enables organizations to proactively hunt down malware,
respond to security breaches, collect and process evidence, and pinpoint
internal employee misconduct. Recently, the bank engaged Guidance
Software’s Professional Services team to support a large-scale
e-discovery collection project in anticipation of the sale of one of the
bank’s entities.
Using EnCase to perform the job, the Guidance Software Professional
Services team forensically captured data from multiple devices under
legal hold before their disposal and prior to the entity’s sale. Tight
deadlines and massive volumes of data required Guidance Software to
assemble a large team of digital investigations professionals to work
around the clock to scan, process, and preserve over 15 terabytes of
data in a matter of weeks.
“A major concern during the sale of any financial business is ensuring
all sensitive information is captured and stored safely. And, during a
transaction, the clock is always ticking and deadlines are tight,” said
Jay Ackerman, Chief Revenue Officer for Guidance Software. “Guidance
Software has both best-in-breed sensitive data investigation and
collection tools, and a highly skilled professional services team to
support our customers, regardless of the size of the job or time
limitations.”
A long-time customer of Guidance Software, the bank is using the
following EnCase products:
-

remote investigations. It enables users to discreetly, accurately, and
securely access machines anywhere on their networks in order to
