DayNine Moves ROCKWOOL to the Workday Cloud in 41 Countries

WDAY

PLEASANTON, CA and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - February 10, 2015) - DayNine Consulting, Ltd., a global Workday (NYSE: WDAY) services partner, has deployed Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) at ROCKWOOL International A/S, the world's largest manufacturer of stone wool insulation. Workday is a leading provider of enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources.

Workday HCM is delivered in the cloud and enables organizations to make faster decisions, gain operational visibility, prepare for future talent shifts and build effective teams. It supports more than 11,000 ROCKWOOL Group employees in 41 different countries. DayNine's deployment of Workday HCM replaces more than 50 legacy enterprise and homegrown systems, spanning the ROCKWOOL Group's HR and IT operations. In fact, within 24 hours of go-live, users in 32 different countries were quick to take advantage of the benefits of Workday's self-service capabilities. Workday enables the ROCKWOOL Group to leverage a single system-of-record to drive all global processes and information governance for staffing, onboarding, performance, succession planning, absence management, and career development efforts.

"DayNine's expertise in deploying Workday for global enterprises with complex operations made them a great partner on this project, which represents our first major entry into the cloud," said Camilla Grönholm, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Legal, Communications and PR at the ROCKWOOL Group. "As we continue to grow, we're confident that the Workday application deployed by DayNine provides the scalability we need to quickly onboard new employees, manage the organizational dynamics, and develop and manage our talent."

DayNine's collaborative approach to the project included a "Global Roadshow" to address local regulatory, cultural, and procedural differences at the ROCKWOOL Group's numerous sites, all while ensuring global buy-in and end user adoption. At ROCKWOOL Group, Workday is configured to meet the specific needs and requirements of each country in which they operate.

"We are thrilled to help put the ROCKWOOL Group on a clear path to global alignment in their Human Resources operations, with a single system housing instantly visible and actionable data," said Colin Anderson, Vice President and General Manager, EMEA and APJ, DayNine Consulting. "This project was a global success in the truest sense for the ROCKWOOL Group, Workday and DayNine, and reinforced our capabilities to uniquely configure and deliver the Workday application to satisfied users around the world."

The ROCKWOOL Group is also leveraging DayNine's proprietary data tool for conversion of transactional compensation history, which extends on Workday's own deployment tools and methodology. For clients like the ROCKWOOL Group, who need immediate access to this data at go-live, this tool provides greater workforce insight and the ability to analyze past and current trends over longer periods of time to help drive better decision-making throughout the business.
