Mercer Hosts 2015 M&A Ready Executive Development Program in San Francisco, New York, and Chicago

MMC

Mercer, a global consulting leader in talent, health, retirement and investments, will once again host its M&A Ready™ Executive Development Program in San Francisco (March 25-26), New York (June 16-17), and Chicago (September 29-30) this year. Senior HR executives, business unit leaders, and corporate development, strategy and finance executives are invited to attend.

Now in its 12th year, Mercer’s globally acclaimed M&A Ready Program addresses the latest developments, trends and best practices to realize expected deal outcomes and maximize expected synergies.

The intense, interactive two-day workshop focuses on the end to end process around how organizations execute a transaction. M&A strategy, due diligence, and implementation are examined from the integration perspective to better understand the financial, operational, and strategic impact of people issues.

Upon completion of the two-day workshop, M&A Ready graduates will be better prepared to tackle four key M&A human capital challenges identified by Mercer in its 30 years of experience across markets and industries:

• Managing the M&A process in domestic and cross-border deals

• Engaging, retaining, and motivating key talent

• Understanding and planning for due diligence and integration across all relevant work streams

• Driving cultural integration (aligning the organizational strategy, structure, process and people)

The Mercer M&A Ready Executive Development Program is led by seasoned consultants with deep experience in all people-related facets of the deal-making process. For example, the upcoming San Francisco session will be led by Erich Studer, a San Francisco based Mercer consultant with more than 20 years of M&A and HR experience.

“With global M&A volume up by 39% in 2014 and healthy deal-making predicted for 2015, we are excited to host our M&A Ready training again this year,” said Chuck Moritt, Senior Partner and Global Mergers and Acquisitions Business Leader. “We look forward to delivering critical insights to executives from across the country, equipping them with crucial knowledge and skills grounded in a strategic understanding of the people issues – financial, talent, and culture – surrounding M&A transactions.”
