Mick Young recently joined Mercer as the Office Business Leader for
Health and Benefits in Grand Rapids, the firm announced today. As Office
Business Leader, Mr. Young will focus on leading client service teams,
capturing new growth opportunities, and expanding the firm’s presence in
Health and Benefits consulting across western Michigan. He will report
to Eric Bassett, Leader of Health & Benefits for the Central Market.
Mr. Young has more than 20 years of experience in employee benefits. He
comes to Mercer from Sun Life Financial, where he most recently held the
position of Regional Worksite Leader. Prior to joining Sun Life
Financial in 2007, he spent two years with Willis and 11 years with
Marsh, also a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies.
