Novofuel's Unique Hydrogen Generation Patent to Be Issued on March 10, 2015

AFPW

PHILADELPHIA, PA / ACCESSWIRE / March 3, 2015 / NovoFuel, Inc. ("NovoFuel"), a wholly-owned operating subsidiary of AlumiFuel Power Corporation (PINKSHEETS:AFPW), announced today that it has been notified by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) that its hydrogen generation patent will be issued on March 10, 2015 as U.S. Patent No. 8,974,765. (See NovoFuel News Release of October 29, 2014.)

The original 2009 omnibus patent application, "METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLED PRODUCTION OF HYDROGEN USING ALUMINUM-BASED WATER-SPLIT REACTIONS," went through an extensive review by the USPTO. The patent contains 48 specific claims which are applications-oriented, focusing on the practical aspects of controlling the aluminum powder-water reaction in NovoFuel's unique cartridge-based hydrogen generation system used in such applications as feeding fuel cells for backup power, and filling weather balloons for upper atmospheric measurements. NovoFuel's Intellectual Property portfolio also includes valuable proprietary know-how, an essential complement to the patent.

After March 10, 2015, the NovoFuel patent can be found on the USPTO website by following the instructions at this link: http://www.uspto.gov/patents-application-process/search-patents, or alternatively, entering the patent number at this link: http://patft.uspto.gov/netahtml/PTO/srchnum.htm. "This powerful patent validates the utility of our novel hydrogen generation technology and products for real world applications rather than just laboratory experiments. Additionally, it provides a key technology underpinning for the hydrogen fuel cell-related capabilities which are an important part of our hybrid Renewable Energy Systems (RES) solutions for medical cannabis grow operations," said Mr. David Cade, President and CEO of NovoFuel, Inc. (See AFPW News Release of February 8, 2015)
