Park
City Group (NASDAQ: PCYG),
a cloud-based software company that uses big data management to help
retailers and their suppliers sell more, stock less and see everything,
announced today that a well-known regional dairy using Park City Group’s
automated ordering solutions to replenish a large, national retailer was
able to reduce ordering costs over 36% and reduce product returns by
16%, while increasing same store unit sales by 5%.
The dairy uses Park City Group’s proprietary algorithm based Automated
Ordering system, which predicts future demand and re-ordering needs
to optimize freshness, keep in-store coolers stocked and backroom
inventories to a minimum. Park City Group’s Visibility & Analytics
team helps throughout the process in reviewing days-of-supply,
space-to-sales by store and product returns, and gives ongoing
visibility to opportunities as business changes occur.
Another benefit of Park City Group’s Automated Ordering system is
the elimination of both hot shots and special deliveries. Optimized
delivery schedules not only reduced the labor costs spent on emergency
replenishments for the supplier, but the retailer was also able to
reduce their store labor costs associated with ordering by 88%.
“When suppliers are armed with visibility and the right ordering
capabilities, they can reduce their labor investment and increase sales
simultaneously,” said Randall Fields, CEO of Park City Group. “When less
time is spent managing expedited deliveries, both the supplier and the
retailer save in reduced labor costs.”
