LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Mar 5, 2015) - Cytta Corp. (OTCQB: CYCA) Cytta is pleased to announce that deployment of remote patient monitoring & telehealth solutions are experiencing rapid implementation as a result of the federal government's recent recognition of and payments for these solutions. Cytta is currently in negotiations with several partners for its Cytta Connect data transmission highway, a core backbone required to seamlessly move healthcare data. The new CPT billing codes issued by the Department of Health and Human Services ("HHS") through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services ("CMS"), give healthcare professionals a profitable way to utilize our services and market advanced remote monitoring based solutions to industry and the general public.
Our 'ribbon cutting ceremony' highlights that Cytta's open source data highway now connects "Anyone, Anywhere and Anytime" (the A-Cubed Connectivity Standard) and that Cytta's Health & Wellness Connectivity solutions are available to the entire Healthcare industry, including insurers, caregivers and policymakers. Healthcare needs to be flexible, seamless and mobile for patients. Cytta Connect is the only automatic WiFi, cellular and satellite data connectivity solution that achieves this new standard.
Erik Stephansen, President of Cytta, stated, "Surviving a major medical occurrence five years ago, I made the decision to devote my energies to improving the quality of medical care while reducing costs. After years of developing and refining our technology, I can personally say to you that my vision of an easy-to-use remote monitoring system is working today. I thank everyone involved for making it a reality. We set out to make remote monitoring as easy as one-click for patients and caregivers and to make it financially feasible and profitable for doctors and insurers. We are rightly proud of our results. Healthcare is a business and our negotiations with various partners are proceeding at a rapid pace, especially, since remote monitoring is now recognized by HHS (Health and Human Services) as a critical need. The CMS issuance of formal payment CPT codes for telehealth gives doctors payment for participating and encourages rapid technology adoption. Our technology helps doctors stay involved and stay in business while expanding care and improving patient outcomes system wide!"
Cytta is also extremely pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Randy Edwards to the team as Director of Medical Implementation. In addition to Dr. Edwards being an accomplished and recognized Physician and Surgeon, he also has an extensive background in sales, marketing and project management.
Dr. Edwards began his medical career by building a major practice in Las Vegas in the Obstetrics and Gynecology fields. Dr. Edwards was Chairman of the OBGYN department at several Las Vegas Hospitals and Credentials Chairman, as well as an Associate Professor at the University of Nevada. Dr. Edwards has also been donating his medical service to the underserved through medical missions annually since the 1990's to Mexico, American Samoa, and the Philippines. Dr. Edwards recently returned from a medical mission to the Philippines, where he performed cancer and tumor surgery at their government hospital.
Dr. Edwards is widely respected for his business acumen, innovative ability to develop new markets and he has been involved in several large enterprises requiring specialized state licensing. We are excited to have Dr. Edwards join the Cytta team. (See Dr. Edwards full Bio at Cytta.com)
Dr. Edwards commented, "I am excited to be able to devote my energies and skill set to the Cytta team and their life changing technology. I am confident that the introduction of the Cytta Connect open source remote monitoring network to the Healthcare sector will be one of my most exciting and rewarding business endeavors."
Separately and for legal disclosure, Mr. Gary Campbell, CEO of Cytta stated, "Our Attorneys have now filed an extensive Answer and Counterclaim (see Aborted Merger at cytta.com) in response to the invalid corporate assertions made by Mr. Jens Dalsgaard/EraStar et al. Dalsgaard and cronies are now accused of embezzling monies from investors and making false and illegal attempts to gain control of Cytta Corp. We have provided detailed information of their activities to several regulatory bodies, including but not limited to the FBI, the SEC, the Nevada State Securities Regulators, and Las Vegas Metro Police. Due to the severity of the allegations against Dalsgaard and crew, the Counterclaim alleges Fraud, Conspiracy to Commit Fraud, Conversion and Racketeering, through RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act) violations. The RICO Act is a federal law designed to allow prosecution and civil penalties with triple damages for racketeering activity performed as part of an ongoing criminal enterprise. We anticipate prevailing in a Summary Judgment application in the very near future."
Most importantly, Cytta is very optimistic about the future of remote monitoring, telehealth and its Cytta Connect platform. Healthcare has morphed into the collaborative care opportunity we have been working to support over these past several years. Wide access to our technology through a variety of healthcare partners will allow everyone involved to improve care and to make patients' lives better.
