National Planning Holdings Completes Launch of Award-Winning Advisor Dashboard

PUK

National Planning Holdings®, Inc. (NPH), the nation’s sixth-largest independent broker-dealer network1, today announced the roll-out of Advisor Dashboard (www.AdvisorDashboard.com), a consolidated suite of business intelligence and integrative analytics tools delivered through a responsive, real-time solution exclusively available for the network’s 3,544 advisors. Bank Insurance & Securities Association (BISA) has awarded Advisor Dashboard the “Technology Innovation Award,” designed to recognize technology innovation in the financial service industry's products, services and platforms2.

The new platform is designed to help advisors increase efficiency and save time in a variety of different areas of their practice, with a focus on:

  • Enhanced Advisor and Client Experience – The platform consolidates data from a wide range of different sources, including information from mutual fund and fixed and variable insurance providers, TPAMs and the clearing firm, to give advisors a complete, accurate and real-time view of their practice. In addition, Advisor Dashboard consolidates revenues and assets into a single, user-friendly view, allowing advisors to create a more effective and balanced service model.
  • Business IntelligenceAdvisor Dashboard offers advisors access to 15 billion records of data containing rich content on product, vendors, accounts, client positions and activity. The data is refreshed nightly with end-of-day updates advisors can access dynamically in seconds. In addition, the ability to filter the information down to the individual account or transaction using Advisor Dashboard’s data-mining tools allows advisors to gain additional insight into their book of business, as well as growth opportunities.
  • Personalization Advisor Dashboard allows advisors to configure up to 30 portlets (customizable access windows) to display information using different filters, including commissions, AUM by product type, client age and more. The platform’s advanced analytics and filtering features also offer advisors the ability to drill into data to answer questions specific to their practice.

“At NPH, we believe that the difference between being able to put aside the time to focus on growing your business and spinning your wheels is, at its core, a matter of efficiency,” said Rob Dearman, NPH’s senior vice president of Advisory Platforms and Practice Strategy. “The value of Advisor Dashboard lies in the fact that its enterprise-level integration allows our advisors and their staff to have one-click access to a massive volume of industry, practice and client-focused insights, as well as the powerful business intelligence tools they need to analyze the data at a deeper level than ever before.”

Jim Livingston, interim president and CEO of NPH, labels the platform as a continuation of a network-wide initiative to move beyond simply adding more systems, features and tasks to a list of technology platforms that already has many advisors struggling to keep up.

“One of the greatest challenges that many advisors face is balancing time with their clients while also managing a business,” said Livingston. “NPH’s technology strategy is to find ways to help an advisor run their business more efficiently and accelerate their practice’s growth by putting the tools they need at their fingertips. With Advisor Dashboard, advisors can take advantage of a customizable interface, with their most important tools and resources easily accessible and integrated in one convenient location.”

The NPH network consists of INVEST Financial Corporation®, Investment Centers of America, Inc., National Planning Corporation® and SII Investments, Inc.® Each company maintains its own unique culture and niche within the financial planning marketplace, allowing the NPH network to deliver market-specific services to representatives of all profiles.
