DoubleTree
by Hilton today announced the opening of DoubleTree
by Hilton Omaha Southwest, a chic and contemporary five-story,
179-room hotel centrally-located near the area’s key business and
leisure destinations. Formerly an Executive Suites, the hotel reopens
following a dramatic multi-million dollar refurbishing that includes
design updates throughout the lobby and public areas, new furniture and
décor throughout guestrooms, and a new restaurant addition set to open
this summer. DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Southwest is owned by 72nd
Street Hospitality, LLC and managed by O’Reilly
Hospitality Management, LLC.
“The opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Southwest marks the second
hotel for our fast-growing brand in the Omaha area,” said John
Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton. “With its dramatic
transformation, this hotel makes the perfect addition to our global
portfolio, and we look forward to welcoming guests with our first-rate
accommodations and services – starting with the signature warm chocolate
chip cookie greeting at check-in and continuing with DoubleTree by
Hilton’s globally-recognized service throughout every guest’s stay.”
Guests will revel in the stylish design and relaxed atmosphere of
DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Southwest. Offering a modern respite for
guests, the hotel’s sleek look is underscored by soothing grey and teal
color schemes, dark wood accents and custom artwork throughout the
lobby, public areas and guest rooms, including 30 suites.
All-day dining is available in the hotel’s ballroom, as well as room
service for guests seeking the convenience of in-room dining. As part of
its ongoing transformation, this summer the hotel will introduce its
brand new restaurant addition, Vida Grill, located just off the main
lobby. The restaurant will be open for all day dining, allowing guests
to enjoy a variety of delectable American and Tex-Mex dishes and a fresh
guacamole station. A new 24-hour market will also be introduced,
offering guests the option to pick up ready-made grab-and-go snacks and
meals.
Featuring more than 28,000 square feet of flexible meeting space,
including a 442 square foot boardroom, DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha
Southwest is an ideal destination for meetings and events of all sizes.
For smaller group meetings, the hotel offers the Meetings
Simplified by DoubleTree by Hilton package from $60 per person,
which includes the meeting room, basic meeting WiFi, meeting room
supplies including a flipchart, markers, extension and power cord, and
all day non-alcoholic beverage service. Creative catering services and a
dedicated events staff are available to ensure every event is truly
special.
During their stay, guests will enjoy an array of complimentary
amenities, including free WiFi throughout the hotel’s public areas and
guest rooms, 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour business center, an indoor
pool and hot tub, and a beautiful outdoor pool deck. The hotel also
offers complimentary on-site parking and shuttle service within a
three-mile radius between 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
“From an amazing new design, to a revamped meetings and event offering
and soon-to-open restaurant addition, we are thrilled to debut our
hotel’s stunning transformation and look forward to delivering the
‘little things’ that truly make DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Southwest a
unique and memorable travel experience for each guest,” said Travis
Kuhlmah, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Southwest.
Located 10 miles from Eppley Airport (OMA) and just off I-80 and 72nd
Street, the hotel is convenient to the city’s most popular destinations.
Guests will enjoy easy access to events and concerts at nearby Ralston
Arena, soon to open UNO Arena, dining, shopping and entertainment at the
Aksarben Village, Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, and the
beautiful cobbled streets of The Old Market – home to shops, taverns and
restaurants. The hotel is situated blocks from key businesses, including
Travel and Transport and Blue Cross Blue Shield, and a short drive to
two of the city’s biggest businesses – the Century Link Center and the
Ameritrade Park, home of the NCAA Baseball World Series.
In addition to the warm chocolate chip cookie welcome, guests will enjoy
other DoubleTree by Hilton brand amenities, including an assortment of
gourmet in-room tea and coffee choices from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®,
