UPS Ranked No. 1 in Top 50 Logistics Listing

UPS

Company's North American freight, brokerage, forwarding, warehousing and dedicated contract carriage earns top spot

ATLANTA, April 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- UPS® (NYSE:UPS) is ranked No.1 on Transport Topics' Top 50 Logistics Companies in a listing due out today. This marks the sixth time in the last 10 years UPS has landed the top spot.

The rankings will be available on www.ttnews.com, coinciding with Transport Topics' LiveOnWeb program airing at 12 p.m. EST. Alan Amling, UPS vice president of global logistics and distribution, will be featured on the program discussing the ranking and industry trends.

"Customers lean on their providers more than ever before and it's critical we provide the solutions and expertise they need," Amling said. "The size of UPS's network - and all that it entails - continues to be a significant differentiator. We enable customers of all sizes to focus less on logistics and more on growing their businesses. We provide the people, technology and infrastructure needed to identify and solve supply chain challenges."

Companies on Transport Topics' Top 50 list provide logistics services, including freight, brokerage, freight forwarding, warehousing and dedicated contract carriage in North America. Rankings are based on annual net revenue with figures provided by Armstrong and Associates.

UPS helps customers manage their total supply chain through a wide range of services that include warehousing and fulfillment; inventory, transportation and returns management; custom kitting and packaging; and store-ready displays. UPS's forwarding lineup combines air, rail, ocean and truck networks to help customers better balance their transportation expenses. UPS Freight is a leading provider of less-than-truckload and truckload services coast-to-coast with more than 5,500 vehicles and nearly 20,000 trailers.

UPS also topped the Journal of Commerce's list of the Top 50 U.S. trucking companies published April 7.
