NEW YORK, April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- OTC Markets Group Inc. (OTCQX: OTCM), operator of Open, Transparent and Connected financial marketplaces for 10,000 U.S. and global securities, today announced the first quarter 2015 performance of the OTCQX® Indexes, the OTCQB® Composite Index, the OTCM QX ADR 30 Index ("OTCQX30") and the OTCM ADR Index and the results of the quarterly re-balancing of the indexes.

The OTCQX Composite Index (.OTCQX), a benchmark for tracking the overall performance of the OTCQX Best Marketplace, gained 6.62% in the first quarter. Fifty-four companies were added to the index during the quarter and 40 companies were removed. For a complete list of additions and deletions, click here.
The OTCQX International Index (.OTCQXINT), comprised of international companies traded on OTCQX, rose 6.63% during the first quarter. Twenty-three companies were added to the Index during the quarter and 32 companies were removed. For a list of additions and deletions, click here.
The OTCQX U.S. Index (.OTCQXUS), comprised of OTCQX U.S. companies, was up 3.66% for the quarter. Thirty-one companies were added to the Index during the quarter and eight were removed. For the list of additions and deletions, click here.
The OTCQX Banks Index (.OTCQXBK), comprised of U.S. community and regional banks traded on OTCQX, increased 3.58% during the quarter. Twenty-three companies were added to the Index during the quarter and three companies were removed. For the list of additions and deletions, click here.
The OTCQB Composite Index (.OTCQB), a benchmark for tracking the overall performance of the OTCQB Venture Marketplace, rose 10.5% during the quarter. Two hundred forty-two companies were added to the Index during the quarter and 34 companies were removed. For the list of additions and deletions, click here.
The OTCQX30 Index (.OTCQX30), powered by BNY Mellon DR IndicesSM and comprised of the 30 largest, most actively-traded American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) traded on OTCQX, gained 5.22% in the first quarter compared to a decline of 4.78% in the fourth quarter 2014. Infineon Technologies AG (OTCQX: IFNNY) and Wolseley plc (OTCQX: WOSYY) were added to the Index during the quarter and Kroton Educacional SA (OTCQX: KROTY) and Royal DSM NV (OTCQX: RDSMY) were removed.
The OTCM ADR Index (.OTCDR), powered by BNY Mellon DR IndicesSM and comprised of ADRs traded on the OTCQX, OTCQB and OTC Pink® marketplaces, rose 5.90% in the first quarter 2015 compared to a 2.55% decline in the prior quarter. This compares to the MSCI EAFE Index which rose 4.19% in the first quarter.
The top 10 most actively-traded ADRs in the OTCM ADR Index during the quarter were: BG Group Plc (OTCQX: BRGYY), Danone (OTCQX: DANOY) and Roche Holding Ltd. (OTCQX: RHHBY), which trade on OTCQX; and Bayer A.G. (OTC Pink: BAYRY), Nestle S.A. (OTC Pink: NSRGY), SABMiller plc (OTC Pink: SBMRY), Siemens AG (OTC Pink: SIEGY), SOFTBANK Corp. (OTC Pink: SFTBY), Tencent Holding Ltd. (OTC Pink: TCEHY) and Tokyo Electron Ltd. (OTC Pink: TOELY), which trade on OTC Pink and limit distribution of disclosure to their home market.
Fifty new companies were added to the Index during the quarter, including Audio Pixel Holdings (OTCQX: ADPXY), Epigenomics AG (OTCQX: EPGNY), easyJet Plc (OTCQX: ESYJY) and Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd. The OTCQX Composite Index, OTCQX International Index, OTCQX U.S. Index, OTCQX Banks Index and OTCQB Composite Index are market capitalization-weighted and have a minimum liquidity screen to ensure tradability. These indexes were updated to a base level of 1,000 from 100 on April 1, 2015.
