(TSX:TCL.A)(TSX:TCL.B), Isabelle Marcoux, was honoured by being named the recipient of the "Mercure Leadership Germaine-Gibara" Award, Large Company category, at the Mercuriades awards ceremony held by the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ).
This award, which is issued jointly by FCCQ and Sun Life Financial, recognizes the exceptional contribution of a businesswoman who has taken bold action and been influential throughout her career and within her field of endeavour. The organizers of the Mercuriades paid tribute to Ms. Marcoux as a woman who is recognized for her business acumen and leadership, is passionate about her work and embraces challenges, and supports a number of community organizations. To be eligible for the FCCQ Mercure Leadership Germaine-Gibara award, the candidate must make a significant contribution to the success of her company, be active in promoting her industry sector, be recognized for her energy, influence, creativity and strategic vision, and be a source of inspiration through her business achievements. She must also be a leader in the business world.

A lawyer by training, Isabelle Marcoux has been Chair of the Board of Transcontinental Inc. since February 2012. She was Vice Chair of the Board of Transcontinental Inc. from 2007 and Vice President, Corporate Development, from 2004. Ms. Marcoux sits on the boards of several major Canadian corporations, namely George Weston Limited, Rogers Communications Inc. and Power Corporation of Canada. In 2015 she is co-chair of the Leaders Circle campaign for Centraide of Greater Montreal and she is on the cabinets of several non-profit organizations. Ms. Marcoux has received a number of awards during her career.
