Enphase
Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENPH), a leading global energy technology
company, has been selected by Pretty
Green Energy (PGE), a Wakefield-based company that installs solar PV
systems, solar thermal, and other renewable energy solutions, to be its
sole supplier for solar energy systems in the residential and commercial
solar photovoltaic market.
“Enphase is the ideal partner for us,” stated Marc Jones, CEO of Pretty
Green Energy. “The 20-year U.K. warranty on Enphase® microinverters,
along with the 24-hour support the company provides, enables us to
deliver the highest level of product performance and assistance to our
customers.”
“The U.K. market is shifting away from cheap, low-quality installers who
have average life expectancy of only 18 months,” said Jones citing
reporting from the HM Revenue and Customs Service (HMRC). “We are seeing
an increasing number of customers who have had bad experiences with
their installations and are now demanding value and quality over cost,”
added Jones. “We’re refitting existing systems away from cheap inverter
systems to the high-performance Enphase systems that we trust.”
Enphase Energy U.K. Sales Director Simon Baggaley stated, “The U.K.
solar market is reaching a pivotal stage of growth where it runs the
risk of low-price, low-quality solar systems potentially damaging the
industry’s reputation. Partnerships such as the one between Pretty Green
Energy and Enphase are critical to ensuring both consumers and
enterprise customers continue to have access to the unsurpassed quality
that our firms bring to the market.”
According to PGE their 2014 sales pipeline was incredibly successful,
and they expect that momentum to carry over into 2015. “Our business
model is to incorporate more commercial projects into our 2015 plans
while progressively tweaking our core residential business down from 90
percent to 80 percent as we strengthen our position in the commercial
rooftop space,” said Jones. “In 2015 our commercial focus will primarily
be agricultural sites with a plan to increase our operations in this
space from 10 percent to 20 percent.” PGE strongly believes that Enphase
products, thanks to their superior performance, ease of design and
installation, and intelligent monitoring and management platform will
perform as well in this segment as they do in the residential market.
“Pretty Green Energy joins the growing list of installers that recognise
the merits of Enphase systems over other competitive solutions,” said
Baggaley. “We’re very pleased to be strengthening our partnership with a
growing company like PGE that shares our ethos of delivering outstanding
products and services.”
Enphase recently received the 2014
Global Frost & Sullivan Award in recognition of the company's
Technology Leadership. It cited Enphase as having made considerable
progress in achieving the company's vision of providing clean, reliable,
and affordable solar energy to both the mainstream commercial and
residential sectors through its innovative microinverters. Enphase has
shipped over seven million microinverters—representing over 1.4 GW
(DC)—into eleven countries worldwide.
