JetBlue Launches Flights to Cleveland From Boston and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood

JBLU

Seamless Connections to the Caribbean via Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and International Partners Networks Through Boston Flights From Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood to Detroit Also Launching Today

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - April 30, 2015) - JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ: JBLU) today launched service to its latest destination, Cleveland's Hopkins International Airport (CLE), with twice daily flights from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and daily flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Today, the airline also introduced daily flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood to Detroit's Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW).

To celebrate Cleveland joining JetBlue's network, the airline today launched a sweepstakes (a) for one lucky person to win a three day trip to the city for two, including flights on JetBlue, two nights at the Westin Cleveland Downtown Hotel, entrance to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, certificates for restaurant visits to Lola Bistro -- owned by James Beard Foundation Award-winning celebrity "Iron Chef" and host of ABC's "The Chew", Michael Symon; Trentina -- owned by James Beard Foundation Award-nominated celebrity chef, Jonathon Sawyer; and Urban Farmer Steakhouse; as well as tickets to a Cleveland Indians baseball game, and a Lolly the Trolley tour of Cleveland. "We see a bright future with great opportunities in Cleveland. We originally announced one route, Boston to Cleveland, but immediately noticed demand was so strong for JetBlue by Northeast Ohio travelers that we shortly after decided to add a Fort Lauderdale to Cleveland flight. Clevelanders will now have nonstop access to two of America's most exciting cities, but can also easily travel beyond to the Caribbean via Fort Lauderdale or to destinations around the globe with partners like Emirates through Boston," said Dave Clark, vice president, network planning, JetBlue.

"JetBlue is further establishing Cleveland Hopkins International Airport as the preferred low cost option for travelers in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio," said Airport Director Ricky Smith. "We thank JetBlue for choosing Cleveland. Our customers have been asking for JetBlue, with their reputation for outstanding service to come to Cleveland, and we're excited to finally have them."

Cleveland is JetBlue's 88th BlueCity and the 55th nonstop destination from Boston, where it is the largest operating airline. From Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, JetBlue's growing South Florida focus city, JetBlue now offers 30 nonstop destinations and with these two latest routes, the airline continues to strengthen its position in this key market as it ramps up its schedule to 100 daily flights.
