SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - May 21, 2015) - Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) ("Envision Solar," or the "Company"), the leading renewable energy Media and Branding product company, announced today that it recently completed a major deployment of its Solar Tree® products for a nationwide Department Store chain. This is the second deployment in what is expected to be a series of major orders for this customer.
The Solar Tree® arrays will deliver renewable energy, solar powered EV Charging and shade and protection from inclement weather at the department store company's locations. The latest deployment of Envision Solar Tree® structures for this company was completed recently in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. The inclusion of EV chargers on the Solar Tree® arrays will further enhance the retailer's existing fleet of EV chargers and provide customers and staff the opportunity to drive on sunshine.
"We are delighted that this major retailer has selected our products again and that we have been able to install them efficiently and safely in record time," said Desmond Wheatley, President and CEO of Envision Solar. "I'm very happy with our team's efforts to fabricate and install the finest product on the market with minimum disruption to our customers. These rapid deployments show that our continued efforts to make the product highly efficient to install are paying off. That means less disruption for our customers and further reduced costs for us."
The Department Store company is a major retailer with stores and corporate facilities nationwide. Envision Solar was selected because of its focus on creating high quality, architecturally accretive, American made products, which fit perfectly with the retailer's emphasis on delivering quality and long-term sustainability.
Invented, engineered and fabricated in the United States, the Solar Tree® covers 8 parking spaces. The system's clean solar electrical generation is enhanced by EnvisionTrak™, which enables the solar array to follow the sun, generating 18 to 25 percent more electricity than a conventional fixed array. Solar Tree® arrays can be outfitted with 6 level two EV chargers or one DC Fast Charger.
The Solar Tree® products were produced in the Company's new fabrication facility in San Diego and were installed in record time, beating the Company's advertised optimum time for installation of 7 days for a Solar Tree® product. Each Solar Tree® shades six to eight parking spaces and generates enough energy to provide up to 700 miles of totally emissions free driving in a day. When the energy is not being used to charge EVs it will reduce the location's reliance on utility supplied energy, lowering their energy bills. Each Solar Tree® produces clean, renewable energy reducing as much carbon dioxide as 20 acres of US forests in one year.
