NEW YORK, June 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- World Moto, Inc. (OTCQB: FARE) (BERLIN: WM7) (BERLIN: A1J8SY) ("World Moto" or the "Company"), a technology company addressing the need for fare metering and m-commerce for motor scooters and motorcycle taxis around the globe, today announced that it recently demonstrated the Moto-Meter to Dr. Pichect Durongkaveroj, Thailand's Minister of Science and Technology, at the National Science and Technology Development Agency's Auto Parts Tech Day 2015 in Pathumthani, Thailand.
Auto Parts Tech Day is a stage for exchanging knowledge on automobile parts development through the application of science, technology, and innovation. World Moto was featured in a central display at the event, attracting the attention of Dr. Pichect Durongkaveroj, who attended the show along with top Thai automotive executives.
Dr. Pichet visited World Moto's display to receive a briefing of the Moto-Meter, including a demonstration of its interaction with new generation smartphone applications. Moto-Meter's direct application to the government's "Science for Society" theme launched by Thailand Deputy Prime Minister Yongyuth Yutthawong in September of last year was a strong point of interest for the Minister.
"With attendees ranging from government agencies, private agencies, and educational institutions, Auto Parts Tech Day was an effective way to show the Moro-Meter to a broad range of potential customers, distributors and partners," said Paul Giles, CEO of World Moto. "Our goal is to have governments around the world mandate meters for motorcycle taxis, and the opportunity to present our innovative technology to a high ranking minister in the Thai government was a strong step forward."
Mr. Giles concluded, "We believe the use of the Moto-Meter in a regulated environment will improve the quality of life for consumers, fleet operators and cities around the world. Targeting governments, cities and municipalities to promote mandated fare metering for motorcycle taxis is a core component of our marketing strategy."
