Calgary, Alberta (FSCwire) - Banyan Gold Corp. ("Banyan" or the "Company") (TSXV: BYN) announces that at the Company's Annual General and Special Meeting of Shareholders held on June 8, 2015 (the "Meeting"), Mark Ayranto, Richmond Graham, Tara Christie and Jay Collins were elected to serve as directors of the Company for the ensuing year.

In addition, the following matters were approved at the Meeting:

i.     the appointment John J. Geib, Chartered Accountant, as the auditors of the Company for the ensuing year and the authorization for the directors of the Company to fix their remuneration;

ii.    the ratification of the Company's 10% rolling stock option plan (the "Plan");

iii.   the adoption of new articles of the Company allowing for shareholder meetings to be held outside Alberta; and

iv.    ratifying the changes to the Bylaws Adopted by the Directors regarding wording on the holding of shareholder meetings.
