Lombardo has joined its Huron
Education practice as a managing director. Lombardo will serve as
the leader for the Strategy & Operations service line, which focuses on
helping higher education institutions better prepare for the future and
achieve operational excellence.

Lombardo
has nearly 25 years of higher education change management experience.
She joins Huron
Education from IBM Global Business Services where she served as
partner and North America practice leader, Talent & Change Consulting.
In that role she helped clients navigate organizational change and
optimize their investment in talent. Prior to that position, Lombardo
was a director in the higher education practice at PwC Consulting.
Throughout her career, she has assisted companies, colleges and
universities, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to define
their strategies, improve their processes, and develop their people. In
addition, she also brings to the role her expertise in online learning,
having led the design and operation of a major online learning program
for the U.S. Army, involving collaboration with dozens of colleges and
universities.
Lombardo
has taught graduate courses in nonprofit management at Lewis & Clark
College and Portland State University. She chaired the Board of Trustees
of Montgomery School, and served on the Board of Trustees of Lafayette
College. She was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Gateway
to College, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping struggling
students earn a high school diploma and achieve college success.
