Nexcelle has appointed Kenneth Onderko and Lionel Drévillon as its two
new Executive Vice Presidents, joining the management team for this
joint venture of GE’s Middle River Aircraft Systems and Aircelle
(Safran) that produces jet engine nacelle solutions for integrated
propulsion systems.
The Executive Vice Presidents have responsibilities in overseeing
program execution and operations – working closely with the parent
companies’ respective teams as Nexcelle pursues the development,
certification and production ramp-up for its nacelle products.
Onderko is a GE employee who joined the company in 1986. His career
includes a variety of design, project engineering and management
positions, involving responsibilities from development, production and
growth strategy to reliability, lifecycle management and product
investment priorities.
From 2001 to 2006, he had various program roles and management duties at
GE Aviation for the GP7200 high-thrust turbofan engine, which was
developed in a GE Aviation joint venture with Pratt & Whitney; and
helped guide the CF34-8 Growth and CF34-10E programs through their
engineering development and entry into service. Onderko also was the
GEnx Product Line Manufacturing Technology Manager, leading the
execution of business-strategic manufacturing cost technology programs
for this large jet engine from 2006 to 2010. After moving to GE Power
and Water in 2010, he was Product Line Leader for the LMS100,
responsible for the lifecycle management of this 100-MW-category gas
turbine powerplant.
Onderko holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from
Youngstown State University and a Master of Business Administration
degree from Xavier University. He became a certified Black Belt in Lean
Six Sigma business improvement methodologies while working in GE
Aviation’s Commercial Engines Operation.
Drévillon is an Aircelle employee who gained extensive product and
marketing experience within the company and the businesses of Aircelle’s
parent organization, Safran, since 2001. This includes program manager
and director positions from 2007 to 2012 at Snecma (Safran) for
CFM56-5A, 5B and 5C engines – as well as operational marketing
responsibilities – in support of its CFM International joint venture
with GE Aviation; and two project manager positions in Aircelle’s
Engineering Department from 2001 to 2007 during the Airbus A380
nacelle’s development and production.
He worked at GE Energy from 1995 to 2001, with positions as the 6000B
gas turbine’s Technical Product Line Manager, the Project Leader for
development of combustion and fuel systems, as well as an accessories
and industrialization engineer.
Drévillon currently is Aircelle’s representative at the GE Middle River
Aircraft Systems facility in the U.S. state of Maryland, coordinating
the two companies’ partnership for the Nexcelle joint venture – a
position that he will retain in addition to his new Nexcelle Executive
Vice President responsibilities. He holds a Master’s Degree in
Engineering from France’s National College of Mechanical and
Aeronautical Engineering (ENSMA).
