UTC Aerospace Systems Congratulates Dassault on Roll Out of the advanced Falcon 5X aircraft

PARIS AIR SHOW, Paris, June 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- UTC Aerospace Systems congratulates Dassault Aviation on the roll out of the first Falcon 5X business jet. The roll out ceremony took place at Dassault Aviation's facility in Merignac, France earlier this month.  UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

UTC Aerospace Systems provides a number of components and systems for the Falcon 5X including the ram air turbine emergency power system, fire detection and extinguishing systems, the throttle control unit and the next-generation SmartProbe® air data system that provides critical information for the flight controls and pilot display systems.

UTC Aerospace Systems was also selected by Snecma (Safran) to provide the main accessory gearbox (AGB) for the Silvercrest Engine, which powers the Falcon 5X.  The AGB facilitates the transmission of power from the engine core to the engine and aircraft accessories including the fuel pump, lube pump, generators and hydraulic pump.
