Tamarac's Embedded Feed Automatically Uploads Account Data to FactSet, Empowering Advisors to Deliver More Value to Clients in Today's Digital Environment

CHICAGO, June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Envestnet | Tamarac has implemented an integration with FactSet, a leading provider of financial information and analytics, to deliver a more seamless, holistic reporting experience for advisors and their clients.

Envestnet Tamarac's web-based platform for independent RIAs, Advisor Xi, deeply unifies portfolio management, modeling, rebalancing, trading, billing and reporting with a client portal and enterprise-level client relationship management system. For more information on Tamarac Advisor Xi, please visit www.tamaracinc.com.

The integration enables mutual advisor clients to directly access aggregated and reconciled account data from Envestnet ৷Tamarac within FactSet to generate advanced portfolio analytics reports on the latter's platform. Tamarac has embedded a data feed into its Advisor® Xi technology suite, which automatically uploads data to FactSet on a daily basis—freeing mutual advisor clients from having to manually download and upload data from multiple custodians and other sources to create reports in FactSet.

"The FactSet integration is another step in our mission to help independent advisors more efficiently and effectively service their clients, which empowers them to make their businesses more profitable," said Stuart DePina, Group President, Envestnet | Tamarac. "By using automated integration to provide advisors with access to our aggregated and reconciled data within FactSet, we can help them raise the level of insight they bring to their clients in today's digital age—and deliver more value than ever before."

FactSet allows advisors to deepen engagement with clients, and help them make more informed investment decisions, by generating reports that:

  • Chart the performance of portfolio management decisions over a series of months, quarters, years, or other time periods, and project the impact of those decisions.
  • Compare intraday performance to a benchmark using a performance heat map to show problem countries, and examine each country to see which individual securities helped or harmed performance during that day.
  • Analyze relative performance using several different attribution models.
  • Create customized groupings of securities by sector, industry, market capitalization, country, or proprietary criteria.

Envestnet ৷Tamarac users can leverage FactSet's capabilities to evaluate portfolio performance according to their own unique investment styles, and access multi-manager or fund-of-fund investment approaches. Advisors can also simulate trades before they are executed, and view the portfolio-wide implications of potential security changes. Furthermore, FactSet enables advisors to examine current valuations of individual holdings, groups, or overall portfolios using customizable valuation ratios.

"We look forward to working with Envestnet ৷Tamarac's advisor users to help them uncover the true potential of their clients' portfolios," said Rick Barrett, Senior Vice President and Senior Director, FactSet Analytics. "Our industry-leading analytics tools provide advisors and investors with a more accurate picture of portfolios, and a clear idea of the impact that possible investment changes would yield."
