EPIX to Deliver Its Premium Content to Authenticated Subscribers;
Including Live Streams of Four EPIX Channels plus Thousands of Titles On
Demand
Premium entertainment network EPIX announced that starting today
Google’s Android TV will offer the EPIX app to its authenticated
subscribers. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed. A
leader in multiplatform availability, EPIX is the first premium network
to launch on Android TV and this deal marks EPIX’s continued expansion
across smart TV’s including Sony, Sharp, Philips and more.
The EPIX Android TV app will deliver four live EPIX channel feeds as
well as streaming access to thousands of titles on-demand, including big
movie franchises The Hunger Games, James Bond, and Star Trek,
original documentaries and music and comedy events featuring marquee
talent including Katy Perry, Craig Ferguson, Louis CK, Russell Brand and
more. The app features a sleek new user interface, Rotten Tomatoes
Ratings, global Google search integration, Android TV recommendations,
plus movie trailers and entertainment extras.
