Today marks the grand opening of the Plainridge Park Casino,
Massachusetts’ first entertainment and gaming facility. The $250
million, state-of-the art casino is opening to the public at 2 PM and
offers guests a total entertainment experience.
Former New England Patriots quarterback Doug Flutie, former Boston Red
Sox outfielder Fred Lynn, and Boston Bruins national anthem singer Rene
Rancourt are joining state gaming officials and Penn National Gaming
executives for a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning. Plainridge Park
Casino will then welcome thousands of guests ready to experience the
1,250 slot machines, video poker and virtual table games, simulcast
racing, live music, upscale casual dining and above all, premier guest
service.

The 106,000 square foot racing and gaming facility employs more than 600
people and generated 1,200 construction jobs. Open 7 days a week, 24
hours a day the fun and excitement will continue 365 days a year.
Gaming Floor
The 44,000 square foot gaming facility features 1,250 of the hottest
games, including slot machines, video poker, virtual table games and
more. Players can enjoy the latest technology as well as traditional
favorites with denomination values from one penny to $100.

Plainridge Park Casino’s multi-tiered Marquee Rewards® card program lets
players take their gaming experience to the next level, and signing up
is free! Guests can earn and redeem tier points and Marquee Comps® at
dining and retail outlets, invitations to special events, and free play
at Penn National's 21 casinos nationwide and soon at the Tropicana
Casino Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip (pending regulatory approvals).
The five Marquee Rewards® tier levels include Marquee, Celebrity,

Patriots Quarterback. The pub features than 30 LCD screens so guests

specialty sandwiches complemented by a premium selection of spirits

Plainridge Park’s food court features three outlets perfect for
grabbing a quick bite between gaming action. Boston-based restaurant
b.good offers locally sourced ingredients to provide real food,
fast—including kale and quinoa bowls, seasonal salads, burgers and
other specialties. Guests can also head over to Slice for simple,
delicious Italian food. Last but certainly not least, The Bean offers
premium coffee, pastries and sweet treats. Hours: Sunday – Thursday

In the racing area, guests can check out the Dark Horse Bar for cold
brews; enjoy a quick bite in the Mountain Skipper Express, located in
the Simulcast Theater; or head over to Trackside for a snack while

experience. Guests can sit at the bar and enjoy a local band with a

Live Harness and Simulcast Racing
Plainridge Park Casino offers the only live harness racing track in
Massachusetts, underway from April to November. Guests can enjoy the
action from the 26,000 square foot grandstand, featuring box and
reserved seats.
Plainridge Park Casino also offers simulcast racing from across the
country. Guests can pick their winners year-round from the 13,000 square
foot clubhouse with box seats.

Plainridge Park Casino is located at 301 Washington Street, about 35
