Vancouver, British Columbia / TheNewswire / June 25, 2015 -. LITE ACCESS TECHNOLOGIES INC. (the "Company") (CSE: LTE, Pink Sheets: LTCCF) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract for the supply and installation training for the US Virgin Island Water and Power Authority (VIWAPA). Using Lite Access' proprietary micro-trench and air blown fibre technologies and becoming certified in the installation methodology will provide VIWAPA with a proven solution for their fibre optic connectivity needs - now and in the future. This installation will connect various mission critical monitoring sites on the island.
Partnering with companies throughout the world and offering a proven technology along with installation training and certification has helped clients effectively reduce costs associated with traditional fibre optic builds and high monthly costs for individual connections. Lite Access is proud to include VIWAPA to our growing list of diverse international partners. This is now the third Caribbean island where local organizations have chosen Lite Access' products for fibre deployments needs. This includes an approximate 200 home fibre-to-the-home build in Puerto Rico and a 284 home fibre-to-the-home network build in Trinidad on behalf of Telecommunications Services of Trinidad & Tobago (TSTT).
Lite Access Technologies is also pleased to announce the delivery of additional product to the island of Guam for a large Asia based Telco, through their long-time distribution partner, Data Management Resources (DMR). This partnership has provided major Telco's within the Asian region with a proven technology and micro-trench method of installation that has expedited the delivery of services to clients at a fraction of the costs associated with traditional fibre optic network builds. Using the Lite Access air blown fibre technology and providing local support and training enables clients with the most cost effective and timely method of fibre connectivity as well as the most future-proof technology available. Through Lite Access' distribution partner DMR, the company has developed a long standing relationship with two of the major telecommunications companies deploying fibre optic networks on the island of Guam both of which continue to order product as they continue to expand.
These international partnerships further solidifies Lite Access as the world leader in air blown fibre and micro-trench technologies

About the "Fibre to the Premise" and "Fibre to the Home" industry
Fibre to the Premise (FTTX) and Fibre to the Home (FTTH), sometimes referred to as "the last mile", is the delivery of a communications signal over optical fibre from the operator's switching equipment all the way to a home or business, thereby replacing existing copper infrastructure such as telephone wires or coaxial cable. FTTX is a rapidly growing method of providing vastly higher bandwidth to consumers and businesses, and thereby enabling more robust video, internet and voice services.
Billions of dollars are being spent to upgrade communications systems and the demand for the Fibre-Optic cable manufacturing and deployment industry has surged as downstream customers upgrade infrastructure that was delayed during the recession. Wireless carriers are expanding their fiber-optic cable networks as more carriers upgrade their networks and consumers increasingly demand high-speed internet on their mobile phones, necessitating more fiber-optic cable purchases.
Communications Internet speed (or lack of) has been described by some industry experts as the single greatest economic issue facing North America today, and an ever increasing demand for bandwidth caused by streaming video and music services, smartphone usage, and consumers and businesses using cloud based and real time communication services has created a surge in investment into last mile infrastructure by internet service providers, businesses, government and educational institutions. The Fiber to the Home Council Americas states that "Fiber-enabled applications and solutions have the potential to create value for service providers and their customers, promote economic development and enhance quality of life for communities".
