Gatekeeper Receives $535,000 in new Purchase Orders for its new High Definition Mobile Video Product Line

  • -Gatekeeper ramps up production to fulfill new purchase orders for its high definition ("HD") mobile video systems scheduled for August 2015 delivery

  • -Gatekeeper projects a paradigm shift to HD video will create a new multi-billion dollar opportunity for the global mobile video systems market

Abbotsford, BC / TheNewswire / July 14th, 2015 Gatekeeper Systems Inc. ("Gatekeeper" or the "Company") (TSX.V: GSI; OTC: GKPRF) is pleased to announce it has received approximately CAD $535,000 in new purchase orders for its HD mobile video systems. The new purchase orders span across multiple markets, including school buses and law enforcement vehicles.

It is estimated that HD cameras have grown to approximately 20% of the general security market. Many companies making the early transition have experienced significant growth. The commercial mobile video systems market, which includes over one million vehicles in North America, has been slow to transition due to a number of factors including cost, performance, and technical capability. The Company believes less than one percent of the mobile market has transitioned from analog to HD cameras, creating a significant growth opportunity for its scalable HD product family.

The new Gatekeeper product line solves many of the issues that have been delaying the overall market transition. The Company's HD product line is very competitive on a cost basis and offers superior performance and comprehensive technical capabilities. Gatekeeper's HD product line allows customers to upgrade to HD cameras without replacing their existing analog cameras making the transition cost effective. Synchronized video, voice, GPS and vehicle sensors such as brakes, signal lights and sirens provide fleet managers with a complete video record, inside or outside their vehicles, which can provide important intelligence for safety and security purposes as well an effective operational data analysis tool. Intelligent incident management software combined with live viewing capability from remote sites enables fleet managers to partner with law enforcement in emergency situations to access live video from any vehicle anytime over 3G or 4G networks. Law enforcement can then deploy appropriate focus when and if necessary based on real time video of actual events.

The new HD video system provides better quality video for facial recognition, license plate reading and overall situational analysis. The Company's technology is an open-end design allowing for integration with third party software companies such as large security enterprise management, computer aided dispatch, transportation routing and child attendance, fingerprint reading software and wireless networks.

Doug Dyment, President and CEO of Gatekeeper commented, "We believe our HD technology with video management software is the most comprehensive high definition product family on the market. It allows customers to start small and grow into the technology at their own pace without replacing their existing analog cameras. Initial customer response has been outstanding resulting in a near 100% close rate when introducing new and existing customers to our HD family of products. Providing customers with scalable choices and outstanding service is driving more end-users and partners to us. We are planning a North American marketing and sales campaign in September with an anticipated overseas launch to follow."

The launch of the Company's new HD mobile video security system compliments the Company's automated video enforcement system for capturing and managing school bus stop-arm violations, XFORCETM body cameras, in-car video systems, and XVAULTTM Evidence Management System for managing body-worn camera recordings.

The Company is entering an important time in its development. The base business, selling mobile video systems, is experiencing organic growth from the transition to HD products, as well as partnering with OEM bus manufacturers. Gatekeeper is positioned to potentially have a record year of sales for 2016. In addition, there is also potential for significant growth with the establishment of two new and important sales verticals: Student Protector, providing stop arm cameras and software for school buses and XFORCE, HD Body Worn cameras for law enforcement and XVAULT software.
