The workouts at the Finals change every year, and the details are often
not announced until right before each event. Because of this, and
consistent with CrossFit’s fitness standards, athletes need to be
prepared for the unknown and unknowable. GE Healthcare is proud to make
the OEC Brivo Plus C-Arm available should they need it. “We are happy to
back these athletes by giving them the added security of knowing they’ll
have access to our advanced medical imaging technology,” said Gustavo
Perez-Fernandez, president & CEO, Surgery, GE Healthcare. “With some of
our medical technology readily available to trained clinicians on-site,
participants will be in good hands.”
During the event Finals, athletes compete in grueling tests that
challenge their physical capacity across ten general physical skills,
including cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, agility,
coordination, speed, power and strength. Making world-class medical
imaging technology accessible to the athletes for the first time during
the competition adds to the elite nature of the event. “CrossFit Games
athletes compete at a high intensity, and we take their care seriously
at our events” said Steve Weiss, Corporate Development for CrossFit,
Inc. “We are proud to have GE Healthcare on board to help raise the bar
for supporting these athletes during their quest to be crowned the
Fittest on Earth.”
As the official medical imaging provider of the 2015 REEBOK CROSSFIT
FINAL GAMES as well as through professional sports organizations around
the globe, GE helps clinicians deliver great care to some of the most
elite athletes around the world, including those competing for
CrossFit’s “Fittest on Earth®” title.
