New Platform Accelerates Development for Second Generation HeliX Processor

SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 29, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (Nasdaq:AMCC), a global leader in computing and connectivity solutions, today announced the availability of the HeliX™ 2 Development Kit to support AppliedMicro's HeliX 2 family of 64-bit multi-core processors.

The HeliX 2 Development Kit provides a powerful, user friendly platform to support the design of embedded solutions for a broad range of markets which include networking, storage, industrial, telecommunications and web scale applications. The comprehensive kit incorporates a complete hardware and software solution, providing all required support for OEMs who are developing multi-core platforms.
