TORONTO, Aug. 7, 2015 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for July 2015.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 14 new issuers in July 2015, compared with 6 in June 2015 and 17 in July 2014. The new listings included 3 closed-end funds, 2 diversified industries companies, 2 life sciences companies, 2 mining companies, 2 technology companies, 1 financial services company, 1 real estate company and 1 SPAC. Total financings raised in July 2015 decreased 58% from the previous month, and were down 29% compared to July 2014. The total number of financings in July 2015 was 57, compared with 47 in the previous month and 77 in July 2014.

TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 6 new issuers in July 2015, compared with 2 in the previous month and 6 in July 2014. The new listings included 2 CPCs, 2 mining companies, 1 diversified industries company and 1 technology company. Total financings raised in July 2015 increased 65% from the previous month, and were up 1% compared to July 2014. There were 133 financings in July 2015, compared with 109 in the previous month and 160 in July 2014.
