NEW YORK, Aug. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- World Moto, Inc. (OTC: FARE) (BERLIN: WM7) (BERLIN: A1J8SY) ("World Moto" or the "Company"), a leader in advanced solutions for motorcycle taxis and on-demand transport, today announced that it has approved more than 300 HailYes™ Partners.
An example of a market gaining traction is the city of Pattaya, Thailand, where the Company is now actively working to register drivers, including drivers of share taxis. Known locally as songtaews (literally, "two rows"), and sometimes called "baht buses", these share taxis are a primary mode of transport for approximately 500,000 passengers a day throughout the city. The Company intends to generate revenue via transaction fees for this service and also raise visibility of HailYes through interior/exterior signage.
World Moto is targeting motorcycles and other common modes of mobility that are currently unserved or underserved by other e-hailing applications. The Company aims to popularize ride-hailing for these forms of transportation. The Company is the first to enable e-Hailing of share taxis and autorickshaws in Thailand.
"We launched the HailYes Partner app in June, and it's been very exciting to see it gain traction over the past several months," said Paul Giles, CEO of World Moto. "With the assurance we have gained from this initial success, we will continue to build momentum, sign up new drivers, and spread into new localities, such as Pattaya, where we see great opportunities for World Moto."
