Guidewire Software, Inc. (NYSE:GWRE), a provider of software products to
Property/Casualty (P/C) insurers, today announced that Texas Windstorm
Insurance Association (TWIA) has selected Guidewire ClaimCenter®
as its new claims management system, and DataHub to support the
implementation. TWIA also selected Guidewire Claim Portal for
Policyholders™ and Claim Portal for Agents to enhance the digital
experience for users. Additionally, TWIA successfully deployed Guidewire
PolicyCenter® and BillingCenter.
“We are pleased that Texas Windstorm has extended its Guidewire
selection to include ClaimCenter and two of our Digital Portals,” said
Steve Sherry, group vice president, Americas Sales, Guidewire Software.
“We also congratulate TWIA on their recent deployment of Guidewire
PolicyCenter® and BillingCenter, and look forward to seeing them achieve
similar success with their ClaimCenter and Claim Portal deployments.”
Guidewire ClaimCenter® is a leading end-to-end claims management system,
built from the ground up to meet the specific needs of today’s
Property/Casualty insurers. ClaimCenter’s flexible business rules enable
claims organizations to define, enforce, and continually refine their
preferred claim handling practices in order to optimize and monitor
their claim processes. ClaimCenter is in use by insurers of all sizes
across all product lines to improve speed and accuracy, reduce loss
adjustment expense, and enable proactive management of claims.
ClaimCenter is available as a standalone system or as part of Guidewire
InsuranceSuite™, and can be integrated to an insurer’s legacy systems or
third party applications.
Guidewire Digital Portals™ is a portfolio of portals that allow insurers
to expose Guidewire InsuranceSuite™ functionality to external
stakeholders such as policyholders, agents/brokers and vendors through
the web and mobile devices. Insurers can extend the value of their
Guidewire core system investment to drive new business, increase
operational efficiency, and improve customer service through digital
channels. Each individual product has been developed to meet a targeted
need for a specific user group (e.g. Quote and Buy for Policyholders).
The underlying architecture of the products has been designed to
directly leverage InsuranceSuite functionality without duplication,
enabling quick response to market needs and lowering total cost of
ownership, all on a future ready technology.
About Texas Windstorm Insurance Association
The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) was established by the
Texas Legislature in 1971 in response to regional market conditions
following Hurricane Celia in August 1970. Our purpose is to provide
windstorm and hail insurance in the Texas seacoast. TWIA is governed by
Chapter 2210 of the Insurance Code (Chapter 2210).
We are a residual insurer of last resort and are not a direct competitor
in the voluntary insurance market. We provide coverage to residential
and commercial properties in certain designated portions of the Texas
seacoast territory. The designated catastrophe area is that portion of
the seacoast territory where the Commissioner of Insurance has found
that windstorm and hail insurance is not reasonably available.
