MSDSonline & KMI Open New Office to Serve Australia and New Zealand, Strengthening EHS Presence in Oceania

TORONTO, Sept. 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MSDSonline, the leading provider of cloud environmental health and safety (EHS) solutions, along with its wholly-owned subsidiary, Knowledge Management Innovations (KMI), today announced the opening of its new office in Queensland. The new office positions both companies to better serve the growing customer base in the region, while meeting the increased market demand for their EHS and sustainability solutions.

Together, MSDSonline and KMI form one of the fastest growing EHS software providers in the industry with offices in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and now Australia. Its solutions, known for their simple design and ease of use, help enterprises solve complex sustainability challenges, mitigate operational risks, and improve business performance. The newest update of its EHS and sustainability software, Version 5.1, was released in July and features improved risk assessment capabilities and compliance management reporting.

"MSDSonline and KMI's expansion into Australia and New Zealand allows us to better serve our Oceania customers and provide the best solutions for their unique business challenges," said Matt Airhart, president of KMI. "This new location confirms our commitment to the great companies we already serve in this region, while also providing an opportunity to grow and meet new customer demand for easy-to-use, affordable EHS solutions."

The timing of the announcement coincides with this year's Safety in Action conference in Melbourne, Australia. Show attendees are encouraged to visit the KMI Booth (F8) for a hands-on demonstration of KMI's latest software release Version 5.1.

Regarding Version 5.1, Airhart said, "The right EHS and sustainability solution not only helps businesses stay on top of compliance regulations, but also helps to strategically improve overall workplace performance. With Version 5.1 we've improved upon KMI's leading software solutions with enhanced functionality. Our easy-to-use interface promotes employee adoption and engagement, while the intuitive controls and reporting helps companies operate more sustainably, safely, and efficiently."

Safety in Action brings together the workplace and occupational health and safety industry to discuss innovative ways to improve workplace performance. Exhibitors and visitors interact with a variety of live demonstrations, dedicated feature areas and business-focused seminars from local and international industry experts. This year's exhibition takes place September 15-17 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. For more information, visit www.safetyinaction.net.au/melbourne.
